Zoë McLaughlin

South & Southeast Asia Librarian

Zoë McLaughlin is the South and Southeast Asian librarian at Michigan State University. She also works on library accessibility at Michigan State. She has an MA in Southeast Asian Studies and an MS in Information from the University of Michigan. She specializes in Indonesia and the Malay world more broadly. Her research interests include classical Javanese dance, the representation of Chinese Indonesians in literature, and equitable practices within area studies. She also translates from Indonesian to English and writes fiction and poetry.
