Dr. Chusak Wittayapak is a native of Northern Thailand and has lived in several provinces in the North. He teaches human geography, development geography, human ecology, political ecology, and land relations in Southeast Asia. Currently, he is a faculty member of the Department of Social Science and Development, Faculty of Social Sciences, Chiang Mai University. Wittayapak’s research works include community-based natural resource management, decentralization and environmental governance, resource conflict and ethnic violence, agrarian transitions, tourism and development, and communal land title.
