Nature Interpreter, The Mekong School: Institute of Local Knowledge
(B.S. Geography, Chiang Mai University) Chak Kineesee is a native of Phayao Province, a nature expert, and a trained geographer, he has worked on various research, mapping, conservation, and development programs since the 1980s including:
Bhu-Phing Forest fire control project, Doi Suthep National Park.
Survey Section, Office of Narcotics Control, Chiang Mai.
Local Researcher, Thailand research fund.
Research Assistant, King Mongkut University of Technology, Thonburi.
A lover of Bird-watching and nature interpretation, Chak has also helped to develop cultural ecotourism relating to the nature of birds in Karen indigenous knowledge in Doi Inthanon National Park. He has been a volunteer educator and bird researcher with the Mekong School: Institute of Local Knowledge for more than 20 years. (mekongschool.org)
